The fantastic Studentstartup team at Exeter Uni (you can see Emily on the first pic!) has put us forward as their top startup to represent them at the Santander X University Challenge - where one chosen startup from each of the top 84 UK unis competes for a £75,000 equity free grant among other prizes.
The Santander University team has prepared us all summer for this with various coaching sessions and panel discussions and eventually invited us to the Quarter Finals at Wembley Stadium (how cool is that??). The judging panel must have liked our pitch on our progress and vision for the future and we progressed to the Semis. Sadly we were not among the 5 teams that made it to the final but we placed joint 6th and won the Judges' Award Prize! 🏆🎉
Aside from a generous cash prize, we have met some amazing young entrepreneurs (had a great night out with them) and had a fantastic time all around! It was truly inspiring to hear everybody's story and we could learn so much!
Massive congratulations to Josephine, who won with her Sojo App and to the runners up Paul & Beren from Deploy Tech! You guys smashed it and truly deserved it!
