Traditional British Ale Hamper
Prescott Brewery | Grand Prix | Extra Special Bitter (5%) | Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (Vegan)
The Brewery: Prescott Ales, where tradition meets motor sport enthusiasm! They're all about local ingredients and clinched over 10 major awards. We really like their bottle designs - all alluding to the nearby Prescott Speed Hill Climb - a legendary motorsport track in the heart of the Cotswolds.
The Beer: Clear and chestnut in appearance, this brew offers an exciting malty, toffee-infused aroma. Sweet caramel on the palate followed by an enjoyable fruity aftertaste and creamy texture. The Prescott lads have blended a variety of malts and Hops (Fuggles, Northdown, and Goldings) which give it this unique rich taste
Hop Union Brewery | Moose River | American Pale Ale (5%) | Bristol, Somerset (Vegan)
The Brewery: Formerly known as Great Western Brewing, the fantastic team at Hop Union have rebranded and moved to a very cool new site. Rebranding surely wasn’t easy but this family business smashed it, modernised the brewery, updated the beer designs and added a cosy taproom! Their new ethos is ‘Uniting Creativity + Taste’ & we think they’re doing a bloody good job at that.
The Beer: Exciting on the nose and a delightful tropical fruit taste. This full-bodied American pale is packed with Mosaic, Talus and Centennial hops which were added at different stages of the brewing process to get this unique taste. The different malts give it a little bitterness and make it an overall well rounded tasty ale.
East London Brewing | Nightwatchman | Dark Ale (4.5%) | Hackney, London (Vegan)
The Brewery: Claire and Stuart run ELB since 2011 and proudly celebrate the East London brewing heritage with their traditional and more creative beers. They also collaborate heavily with local businesses to drive sustainability and local community support. Fun fact, Claire is originally just down the street from the barn we started QWERTY out of.
The Beer: Meet Nightwatchman —ELB’s third recipe of this dark and smooth bitter. With a reddish tinge, it's well-hopped and sweeter in taste. At 4.5%, it's a premium bitter that's both rich and balanced. Taste the red fruits and biscuity spice —this one's a keeper
Salcombe Brewery | Shingle Bay | Golden Ale (4.2%) | Kingsbridge, Devon (Not Vegan)
The Brewery: The founders John and Gerry purchased the brewery in 2016 after more than 30 years of holidaying in Salcombe. We were impressed by the state-of-the-art brewing equipment which attracts many visitors and allows them to brew such a variety of award-winning tasty brews.
The Beer: This golden beauty offers a fruity aroma with hints of spiced fruits. This golden ale at 4.2% ABV is a breeze to enjoy, providing a crisp, refreshing bite. Light and fruity, it's a harmonious blend of malt and hops that's satisfying and smooth – perfect for any occasion
Keltek Brewery | Even Keel | Pale Ale (3.4%) | Redruth, Cornwall (Vegan)
The Brewery: Keltek Brewery was formed on the basis of a wager! Back in 1997 Founder & Head Brewer Stuart bet his pub landlord that if he brewed a superior pint it could be put on the pump behind the bar. The brew went well, Keltek was started and nowadays Stewart (different Stewart to the founder, same passion for beer) leads the team to one award after another.
The Beer: This classic Pale Ale is a real thirst-quencher. It's got that lovely malty touch with a soft bitterness. Its fruity hints and surprisingly long finish won it a Taste of the West Gold Award in 2023. This easy-drinking classic is perfect for a sunny day, a great session or simply a pleasant weekday tipple.
Former Features:
Lizard Ales | An Gof | Strong Ale (5.2%) | The Lizard, Cornwall (Vegan)
The Brewery: Lizard ales have been brewing in Britain's most southerly point since 2004, offering a range of traditional ales. They are based in ‘the old nuclear bunker’, a relic of the cold war at former RAF Treleaver. Nowadays their brewery is guarded by a hen family!
The Beer: An Gof commemorates a leader of the Cornish rebellion from St Keverne, where the Lizard Ales journey started. This Cornish ale is reminiscent of a full bodied bitter, with the wood-smoked malt giving An Gof an appealing coffee-like taste and aroma.
Keltek Brewery | Lance | Golden Ale (4%) | Redruth, Cornwall (Vegan)
The Brewery: Keltek Brewery was formed on the basis of a wager! Back in 1997 Founder & Head Brewer Stuart bet his pub landlord that if he brewed a superior pint it could be put on the pump behind the bar. The brew went well, Keltek was started and nowadays Stewart (different Stewart to the founder, same passion for beer) leads the team to one award after another.
The Beer: This CAMRA Cornish champion is a refreshing easy-drinking Cornish ale. Golden in colour, it’s got an enjoyable citrus flavour and a gentle bitterness which makes an overall well-rounded beer - perfect compliment to a roast dinner!
Mr.Filbert’s | Salt Crust Peanuts | Somerset
